CREATION is a thought-provoking exploration of what it means to be free. Set in a dystopian future, several creative individuals remind us all to never take for granted the product of one’s own work and imagination. Creation is inspired by Ayn Rand’s Anthem and Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go.
Like many stories, the idea for Creation came to me in a particularly vivid (albeit short and scattered) dream. As "Jess," I was chased into a dome after being told I would not be reporting on the event to which I thought I was heading to, sat with actor Robert Pattison ("Wes") at a table in a dining hall with another man and woman, and stood with him as we shirked away from a man with several dogs, which we referred to as "Exhaustion Hounds."
Creation is available on Amazon for Kindle and in paperback format.
If I could cast a film adaptation of Creation, this is how it would go down.
Jess: The Athenos YiaYia Commercial Girl
I saw this girl when her ad came on during a South Park episode I was streaming online. After seeing the commercial over and over and being startled by the loud declaration of "YiaYia may not approve of," I realized this girl would make the most perfect Jess ever.
Wes: Robert Pattinson
Considering the book was inspired by a dream involving Robert Pattinson, I think this casting choice is obvious.
Janet: Sara Mearns
James: Robert Fairchild
I was flipping through an issue of W magazine when suddenly: HOLY HELL THERE'S JANET AND JAMES. (I never really had a clear image of James, but this guy works for me! Sara is spot-on.)
Pardon the strange spacing -- I took screenshots of the sample available on Amazon!
